Finaly waving bye bye to these cossies apart from maybe a one off shoot if I can ever be bothered to tie those Hakama again. Would have submitted earlier but was waiting for a decent full length pic of me where I dont look dead or ugly...it didnt happen but theres some great pics of
so I compromised
Apologies for this long description everyone >_< and photo credits are all at the bottom of the pic
If anyone objects to me using a pic then let me know and I will replace it
Jin - moi
Hakama £30 from a martial arts stockists, you can spend hours sewing hakama if you like, I, however, cbatbh.
Yukata - Some thick weave cotton that was ok irl but way to shiny in pics for some reason. Must remember this for the future. Detailing done in white cotton.
Accesories - Straw sandles, karate belt, blue bead bracelett and £200 Mashiro sword
Jen did an awesome job as Mugen, she was so in character it was occationaly scary. Despite being the palest Mugen ever, just look at those facial expressions!
Jacket - similar thick weave cotton with white cotton stiched under and cut through for triangle detail.
Trousers - customised cords
Vest - White cotton soaked in Coffee, tea, beer, teryaki, god knows what else.
Belt - green and yellow felt
Accesories - Customised Bokken (coated and painted, not realy visable in any of those pics), Sandals and blue ribbon for tattoos round wrists and ankles.
This was entirely hand made *shudder* dont want to have to think about the creating process ever again O_0 Isa made a fantastic Fuu as she looked so much like her and stayed in character beautifully. And didnt she look pretty in pink! *jelousy*
Kimono - Pink linnen which was supposed to look authentic but just creased so easily, oh well, learning curve and all. Flowers were pale pink cotton, stiched up and then cut through, same as Mugens jacket. The collar was a darker red, I think we used the same fabric as Mugens jacket, as was the Obi. Rather than create a proper obi that would tie bulkily, I decided to make it in two separate pieces, the belt and the bow at the back. These were held together with the bow at the front.
Accessories - Sandals, Hair ornaments made from Chopsticks by Isa and Tanto coated and painted by me. once again, you cant see it but will try to sub some pics of it when ive re-done it better.
Thanks you two for putting up with me stressing out with you, especialy Isa for being so picky about your makeup and cossy and Jen for helping me get it all done, it honestly wouldnt even be half finished even now without you
Now let us never mention it again!
