My, it has been a while...

I'm actually making costumes again so I thought I would come back and stop being a looser on Twitter instead.

Soooo, finished Sailor Jupiter, minus tiara and hair bobbles.  Shoes want to break my toes and pants are somewhat uncomfortable but I'm proud of the outside result.  Took me a few weeks since I was hand sewing.  Hand French hemming a double circle skirt...yes....

Am now working on a Sheryl Nome dress from Macross Frontier for the Aya Ball.  Chiffon and yet more Chiffon.  Sewing lots of tiny flower petals at the moment for the hardest bit which is the garland.  Dress will be piss easy once I've got the fabric.  About 7 straight lines of stitching. Lovely!

Also working on Rogue Squadron flight suits for myself, my boyfriend and his mate.  Been intending to do this for a while but its a bit of a surprise for Ross so shhhh.

Other than that I have a Sela Maria from Basquash costume in the pipeline.  This is like Blaire in that I just want to make one before everyone else does.  But it should also be good tailoring practice.

Anyway, more info on my Cosplay Island - www.cosplayisland.com/overview…

Let me know if any shoots are going on, because I need pics of Sailor Jupiter at some point ^_^

Soooo, its finally here!

Tomorrow Yaya gets into Heathrowe and then the madness begins ;)

Finished off the rest of my CC costume last night.  I wound up gluing the last bits because I was feeling lazy so I didn't try it on till today.  It's actually looking a lot better than I thought.  My mind is at rest somewhat.  No idea how I'm going to dance in the shoes however.....

I love glue.  I'm never sewing anything ever again. Ok, lies - last night I was really ill from sitting in a room full of fumes XD

See YOU ALL (OR ELSE) at the weekend!!!

Oh, and much love to Mustang who is a sick kitty at the moment.  I hope you are feeling better soon Jo!

See previous journal for details but just so you know, this event should be like no other current cosplay event in London.  We've created something unique in terms of guests, which will be very very tricky to replicate again so don't miss out!!

It will be on from 2-6PM in Tokyo Toys and guests include world famous cosplayer Yaya Han (www.angelicstar.net/), Isabelle and Damien, the French World Cosplay Summit winners from 2007, plus many more.  There will be talks, photo sessions and advice on costume making for those of you that want to bring portfolios.  Plus, Tokyo Toys are still selling tickets for Sunday Nights ball if you've had a change of heart about staying in watching Strictly Come Dancing repeats.

Ohh did I mention there will be prizes, sponsored v kindly by Beez Entertainment!!

I know there are birthday meets and so forth happening that day but Troc is a staple for every good anime fans birthday so why not drop by for an hour or so in between DDR and the Japan Centre.  Who knows, you may find a late birthday pressie in amongst TT's goodies.

Looking forward to seeing you there!!
